neverblack is New Zealand’s newest fashion label - born out of a desire to offer beautiful and wearable garments for men and women that are easy on the eye as well as on the pocket.
The label is a true collaboration between Jeremy Maclaurin (Creative Director) and Martin Chapman (Graphic Designer) and Chelsea Thorpe (Designer).
Originally brought on to invigorate Chapman and Maclaurin’s already established streetwear brand NVAH, after they had long admired her self-titled womenswear label, it was soon realized that Thorpe’s sensibility coupled with the lads’ street aesthetic was a chance to break new ground and begin a more directional line.
The trio enters the fashion industry together with refreshing unconventionality; neverblack is rapidly becoming known for distinctive modern vintage styling and use of original fabric, also designed in-house to complete their romantic, eminently wearable and affordable look.
The label debuted with it’s men and women’s collection for the Summer 10/11 season - and has had immediate success with key stockists locked in NZ wide.
